http://tinyurl.com/yoga-laughs - LET LAUGHING YOGA CHANGE YOUR LIFE -VISIT US AT THE LAUGHING YOGA Iyengar Yoga, created by B.K.S. Iyengar, is a form of yoga known for its use of props, such as belts and blocks, as aids in performing asanas (postures). It is firmly based on the traditional eight limbs of yoga as expounded by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras, emphasizing the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration (Dharana) and meditation (Dhyana). A form of Hatha Yoga, it focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of asanas. Through the practice of a system of asanas, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well-being. This discipline is considered a powerful tool to relieve the stresses of modern-day life which in turn can help promote total physical and spiritual well-being[1].

Simpler variations of some poses have been provided to aid beginning students to gradually arrive at their maximum potential. More difficult poses may be omitted without losing the validity of the program. This DVD allows for continuous play or the choice to select each asana individually from a menu. Gabriella Giubilaro is widely known for her dynamic teaching of Iyengar yoga and the clarity of her presentation. She believes in communicating the essence of the yoga postures through simple meaningful explanations that help her students discover the intelligence of their own bodies. Gabriella began her practice of Iyengar yoga in 1973, studying with Dona Holleman. She worked with and assisted Dona in her classes for sixteen years. In 1977, after receiving her doctorate in physics at the University of Florence, Gabriella decided to dedicate her life to study and teaching of yoga. This scientific education is apparent in her teaching. In 1983 she made her first trip to Pune, India, to study directly with B.K.S. Iyengar, and since then she has gone to the Iyengar Institute to study with the Iyengar family almost every year. Gabriella opened the Iyengar Yoga Center in Florence in 1989. With the collaboration of other teachers at this center, Gabriella has helped to spread Iyengar yoga in Italy and has educated many teachers, throughout Europe and the entire world. She is also the cofounder of the Association Light on Yoga in Italy. Since 1986, Gabriella has taught regularly in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, as well as in the United States.

Sri Mahalakshmi (Periya Piratti) Seva at ShanguChakra’s Home during Azhwar Aradhanam Utsavam and Panguni Uthiram. The accompanying devotional song is "Paluku Thenala Talli Pavalinchenu" composed by Sri Annamacharya (for Alamelumanga) and rendered by Sri. BV Balasai & UP Raju (Flute & Mandolin). Mahalakshmi, who is the consort of Vishnu is worshipped as goddess of wealth by the Hindus. In the beginning of creation she took form from the left side of Vishnu and was later born again from the sea of milk, when the devas churned it for getting nectar. She resides on the chest of Maha Vishnu as Sri Vatsa. It was she who took birth as Seetha and Rukmani. This very simple prayer is very ancient and has been chanted by generations for solving all their problems.Lakshmi (Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी,lakṣmī, Hindi pronunciation: [ˈləkʂ.miː])Tamil:லட்சுமி (letchumi)) is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. Mahalakshmi is the presiding Goddess of the Middle episode of Devi Mahatmya. Here, she is depicted as Devi in her universal form as Shakti. The manifestation of the Devi to kill Mahishasura is formed by the effulgences of all the gods. TheAlangaaram & Upacharam Pictures of Sri Vidya Rajagopalan (Sri Krishna as Cowherd) can be seen in the Video along with his cow and calves @ ShanguChakra Home during Panchaparvam. The accompanying Devotional Kirtan is rendered by Smt. Nithyashree Mahadevan composed by Sri. Papanasam Sivan. It was originally rendered by Bharat Ratna Smt. MS Subbulakshmi in the Tamil Film Meera (1945) set to tune by Sri. SV Venkataraman. Govinda and Gopāla are names of Krishna, referring to his youthful occupation as a cowherd. He is regarded as the Supreme Godhead in the Vaishnava tradition and also by much of the pan-Hindu tradition. The ancient text Sri Brahma Samhita (5.1) describes Him as the source of all that is and the original cause of all causes. Both names translate to "cowherd". Sanskrit go means "cow"; pāla and vinda form tatpurusha compounds, literally translating to "finder of cows" and "protector of cows", respectively. 4.In the Harivamsa, Indra praised Krishna for having attained loving leadership of the cows which Krishna tended as a cowherd, by saying, "So men too shall praise Him as Govinda. A famous prayer called the Bhaja Govindam was composed by Adi Sankara, a summary of which is; "If one just worships Govinda, one can easily cross this great ocean of birth and death." This refers to the belief that worshipful adoration of Krishna can lead believers out of the cycle of reincarnation, or samsara, and into an eternal blissful life in Vaikuntha, ’beyond this material ...

Sri Senkamalavalli Thayar aka Sri Mahalakshmi (Cosmic Mother) Darshan at ShanguChakra Home during Aadi Velli Puja. The accompanying Sanskrit Hymn is rendered by Smt. KS Chitra. This very simple prayer is very ancient and has been chanted by generations for solving all their problems. Lakshmi (Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी,lakṣmī, Hindi pronunciation: [ˈləkʂ.miː])Tamil:லட்சுமி (letchumi)) is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. Mahalakshmi is the presiding Goddess of the Middle episode of Devi Mahatmya. Here, she is depicted as Devi in her universal form as Shakti. The manifestation of the Devi to kill Mahishasura is formed by the effulgences of all the gods. The Goddess is described as eighteen-armed, bearing a string of beads, battle axe, mace, arrow, thunderbolt, lotus, bow, water pot, cudgel, lance, sword, shield, conch, bell, wine cup, trident, noose and the discus sudarsana. She has a complexion of coral and is seated on a lotus. She is known as Ashta Dasa Bhuja Mahalakshmi ...

Sri Devadhirajan Perumal (Sriman Narayanan) Sevai at ShanguChakra Home. Also seen is Sri Mahalakshmi (Cosmic Mother) at the feet of the Lord. The accompanying Sanskrit Hymn is rendered by Smt. Prema Rangarajan. Narayaneeyam is a medieval Sanskrit text, comprising a summary study in poetic form of the Bhagavata Purana. It was composed by Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri, a devotee-poet who lived in the Indian state of Kerala, in the sixteenth century AD. The Bhagavata Purana is a major Hindu scripture consisting of about 18000 verses, mainly devoted to the worship of Krishna. The Narayaniyam condenses the Bhagavata Purana into 1036 verses, divided into 100 dasakas, or cantos. The work occupies a very high place in Sanskrit literature, both because of the intense devotional fervour of the verses, and because of their extraordinary literary merit. The Narayaniyam is one of the most popular religious texts in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and devout Hindus often recite it together in festivals and groups. The first 36 chapters dealt with various incarnations of Lord Vishnu, and chapters 37-88 deals exclusively with the story of Lord Krishna. Chapters 89-99 dealt with the extolling of Vishnu as a primeval God as well as several philosophical concepts. The last chapter is a mellifluous description of the lord from head to foot. It was completed on 27-11-1587 as denoted by the last words of the great work, which also means, long life, health and happiness.Narayana (Sanskrit: नारायण ...

Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama : Ramanuja’s achievements are visible to this day. Iyengar Brahmins in South India follow his philosophical tradition. The Tamil prabhandas are chanted at Vishnu temples on par with the Sanskrit vedas. Persons of all communities, and not just Brahmins, are given roles in rituals at Srirangam and other leading temples. The philosophic discourses have been passed on to subsequent generations by great successors like Pillai Lokacharya, Vedanta Desika and Manavala Mamuni who lived in the 13th and 14th centuries . Several hagiographic accounts suggest that Ramanuja was an incarnation of Sri AdiSesha.
